StoneBrige Church - The Woodlands
At the end of April we had 15 men and women come down from Stonebridge Church in The Woodlands,
Texas. Cesar had done the planning for this trip and then helped work on
it. They worked alongside of pastor Arturo Lagos to help him build a new roof on an addition to
his church building. They also did Vacation Bible School with the kids each day, door
to door evangelism in the colonia (neighborhood), and went to visit a local women's
shelter / orphanage. At the orphanage they played with the kids and did some yard work and put
up some shelves. One of the great new things this year was an addition to the participants group.
In the last few years, the men from this group had been coming to Mexico and returning
home with great stories of what God was doing. Their wives got excited about it and this year
4 of them came along. It was great to have this new dynamic and was a great addition to this
week's ministry. One day the girls and I (Jennifer) went down to help and it was so neat to have
women there to talk to. There was one lady that I talked to there that got so encouraged that
she went back to her church and started the process for raising funds for AIM and for our family.
She has really been praying for us and we have seen answers to prayer. Another great thing was
that one night during the week the 4 couples did a Marriage talk at Arturo's church. It was a
great time for the participants and for the Mexican people. It's neat to see how God's ministry
grows and changes as we see and respond to Him working in our hearts.
Thank You for All Your Prayers and Support!!!
