What's up in this month?
On February 19 February 52 participants from Illinios will be coming to Matamoros,
Mexico to share the Gospel of Jesus with the Mexican people in two colonias:
1) Colonia Reforma, and 2) Colonia Las Flores. This group will be working with
two pastors in Matamoros. Pastor Carlos Gonzalez and pastor Ruben Rubio.
Please pray for this groups as they will be sharing the gospel door to door,
doing a medical clinic, visiting a local Rehabilitation Center for kids with
various physical handicaps, building two small houses for two families that attend
church with pastor Carlos Gonzalez and building a small church building for a new
church that pastor Ruben Rubio is starting.
Looking for translators
One of our jobs here in Mexico is to find qualified translators for our projects.
The Rio Grande Valley, which is where we live, has many of people who speak
English and Spanish. There are many churches in this area with Christians are bilingual.
But during the school year it is difficult to find translators because they are not available
during on weekdays.
During the next few weeks and into the summer we will be using a number of ways to find
translator:word of month, letters, e-mails, phone, radio ads and our web site. Please
pray that God would provide all the translators that we need for each project this year.
