April - Johson Ferry Baptist Church project
Thank you so much for your prayers for our project with Johnson Ferry Baptist
Church (group of 270). Your prayers were a big blessing considering that the
first night it began to rain quite seriously. Months of preparation were on the
line as we listened to the hard rains which would create closed roads and
damaged materials for Vacation Bible School and the 16 houses we planned to
build. But, surprise, God is bigger than a rainstorm. Plans were rearranged
and hearts were blessed. We are always so much better off in total dependence
on God. This week more than 100 people prayed to receive Jesus and many others
were blessed and ministered to by this special church. One of the Mexican
churches that we were working with, really impressed us with their ability to
reach out to the local children, which is quite rare. The pastor’s wife was like
a clown on wheels. Their kids were having so much fun singing and praising the
LORD! It was unbelievable.
Also, this group from Georgia had so many great VBS ideas that I (Jennifer)
was able to get some new ideas for the upcoming curriculum. The doctor and
dentist ministries were an exceptional blessing as many people there
realized their ailing spiritual condition and accepted Jesus as their
Savior. All in all it was a great week. The pastor leading this trip said
that in his 14 years of ministry that he has never seen a better project.
So many of his kids had grown spiritually and witnessed so many decisions
for Christ, that he was amazed. The best part of this is that spiritual
growth is not something that AIM can just organize, it’s the direct result
of God working in the hearts and minds of the students and the Mexican
people. Your prayers make a difference!

Summer Plans Our summer is almost here and we are just about ready. We are so excited this year about our new Reynosa facility which will be in a Bible
Institute allowing us to house many more participants. Cesar is setting up the 8 weeks of projects in Reynosa for the summer and has just made plans for a restaurant to cook the meals at a great price. This was a big answer to prayer. Please pray for us to be wise with the
decisions needed for this move. It is just so great to see God at work! Here are the projects for
Reynosa this summer. Please remember to pray. We depend on you!

Katie
The last time we wrote, Katie (10) was about to go into surgery. Well, she
did great. She never really did get nervous and was ready to walk into
Blockbuster to rent a movie 2 hours later. Thank you for your prayers!
Also, Katie saved up a bought her dream puppy. Oreo, our sweet little black
and white cocker, is now a member of the Gonzalez clan. Katie is so excited!
Hannah
Hannah (8) is getting to be quite the little gymnast. Her grandparents put
her in gymnastics this year and she has really gotten good. She has moved
from level one to level three in one year. WOW! She also made us proud
yesterday winning the Debbie Allen Award at school. It is given to one child
in each class that shows godly character. She is growing up so fast.
